the postman cometh

I have recently received in the mail my menstrual cup I've been dying to try. I first heard about a menstrual cup from the Lilly compact commercial. Then I started to watch you tube videos about menstrual cups. Then I did my own research and I decided to write an essay on alternative menstrual hygiene. The essay will be posted soon on my essay blog. I then later talked to my mother about the alternative and her reaction was" menstrual cups are gross why would you want to reuse something thats dirty, it seems messy." I decided to be opened minded, I bought the Iris cup because a few reviews said it was similar to the lady cup and it sure is. I was only $15, that is $15 cheaper than the diva cup. It is the perfect size and texture for me. I got it just in time for me to try it out on my cycle this month. I'll keep you ladies updated.

Greening your life.

Becoming healthy does not just deal with what one put into their body. It becomes a complicated situation. When I became vegan I drank a lot of water to rid my body of toxins. I  started to notice what i put into my body and what my body likes. I also started to notice my body became sensitive to the hygiene products I was using, from shampoo to laundry detergent. My skin prefers simple formulas, anything to complicated and I have a bad reaction. Coconut oil, everyone is fan girling over it, it feels like a bandwagon for coconut oil until you try it out for your self. My deodorant had to change the formula didn't work for me any more after two years. I switched to the salt deodorant and they work like a charm for me.
Greening your health is a domino effect, your body will start to prefer the natural simpler solutions.

Starting out.

When I first become vegan it was hard to not eat meat. My family wasn't yet totally on board with the no meat. They first thought I was crazy, but after a few scary videos and new article I had convoked them so I would finally have support. Being vegan let along vegetarian with out support is hard especially in America. When you first become vegan its hard because most of your surroundings will most likely feel like everything is meat based. Its hard to change your eating habits in an instant. But with time and evidence of the potential benefits of going vegan you'll see the light of it.
Nothings easy in life but with time and persistence you can get threw it!
